Dr. Chimes spent 5-years at the University of Pittsburgh, serving as the Director of Musculoskeletal Sports & Spine Fellowship. Prior to that, he was Director of the spine clinic at the University of Arkansas. He also completed a Spine and Sports Fellowship at Northwestern University in Sports & Spine Rehabilitation, as well as an Internal Medicine Internship at Mary Imogene Bassett Hospital in Cooperstown New York. Dr. Chimes earned his PhD in anatomy and MD at Stony Brook University and his undergraduate degree at the University of Wisconsin.

Dr. Chimes is Board Certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (ABPM&R). He has been involved in numerous published abstracts involving injuries ranging from lower back pain, concussions, groin and leg pain, upper-limb pain, and head injuries.
