Description:
Dr. James Harris will detail the basics of CR 35 exams and the important factors he looks for both clinically and administratively. He will then delve into his experience reviewing spinal injuries and the importance of correlating symptoms and exam findings with imaging. Finally, Dr. Harris will offer an in-depth look at rotator cuff pathology, including a discussion of shoulder anatomy and pathology.
Speaker: James Harris, MD, Orthopedic Surgeon
Dr. Harris graduated from the University of Puget Sound with a Degree in Physics in 1985. He was then commissioned in the United States Navy. He graduated from the University of Rochester School of Medicine on a Navy scholarship in 1998, and from October 1998 to April 1999, he attended the US Navy Flight Surgeon School. From 2000-03, he was a flight surgeon and instructor pilot, and from 2003-07, he completed his Orthopedic Surgery residency at the Naval Medical Center in San Diego. Since 2007, Dr. Harris has been the Department Head and Staff Orthopedic Surgeon at the Naval Hospital in Bremerton.
In addition to his extensive trauma knowledge and practice, Dr. Harris is a published Orthopedic Surgeon with teaching and presenting experience both stateside and overseas.
