The 2024 Legislative Session has begun

January 8, 2024, marked the beginning of the Washington State Legislative Session. Our Legislative Consultants with Brewer Public Affairs, Christine Brewer and Kris Teft, have been preparing for what is sure to be an active 60-day session. Christine and Kris will be lobbying on behalf of WDTL, with Kris (Kris@olygov.com) as our principal lobbyist.
Beginning this month, we will be tracking legislation and providing updates regarding bills of interest to our members. You may find updates by clicking on the Legislative tab on our website. To access the Legislative Updates you must log in as a member.
Throughout the legislative session, there will be opportunities for members to testify on behalf of WDTL. These opportunities often arise with very little notice. If you have an interest in testifying or advocating on behalf of WDTL regarding a specific area of law, please email WDTL Executive Director Maggie Sweeney at maggie@wdtl.org. During the 2024 session, virtual testimony will be optional.
