Washington Defense Trial Lawyers (WDTL) continued to show its ongoing commitment to supporting school-aged children in need of school supplies. Over the past several years, WDTL has supported Treehouse's annual back-to-school drive and the Salvation Army’s annual backpack drive in the Spokane area. Since 1988, Treehouse has been Washington's leading nonprofit organization dedicated to closing the academic gap between youth in foster care and their peers. This is the Salvation Army's 17th year of the backpack drive. The back-to-school drives ensure that youth in foster care and kids in need throughout Washington State have the supplies and support they need for a successful school year.
WDTL members’ outpouring of support this year will help youth in foster care and kids in need in Washington start the school year with the necessary tools to achieve academic success. WDTL members donated more than 250 backpacks, many boxes of school supplies, and lunchboxes. While WDTL did not have an official contest for this year's drive, we would like to recognize our major donors: Clyde & Co, Williams Kastner, Roy Umlauf, Lori O’Tool, Greg Latendresse, and Melissa Roeder. WDTL also gives a shout-out to Aimee Oldfield of Advanced Medical Group, Inc., who assisted with picking up donations and delivering them to Treehouse.
