Seamark Law Group, a civil-litigation firm on Bainbridge Island, is seeking to hire an attorney. Seamark defends municipalities, companies, and individuals in civil-rights cases and other litigation in state and federal court. We recently represented the prevailing party in Egbert v. Boule, a case in which the U.S. Supreme Court held there is no cause of action against federal officers for Fourth Amendment claims related to border-security activities or for First Amendment retaliation.
Our firm is collegial and committed to mentoring. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who wants to be part of a small team handling interesting cases for great clients. The position requires outstanding research, writing, and communication skills and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will also have experience with civil litigation and strong academic credentials.
We are currently working remotely and anticipate a flexible workplace going forward. Therefore, candidates need not reside near Bainbridge Island.
Salary depends on experience and billable-hour expectations. Benefits for all employees include a 401(k) plan and paid sick leave. Additionally, full-time employees receive paid vacation and health, dental, and vision coverage.
We maintain an open, welcoming, and supportive workplace that celebrates diversity. We don’t discriminate on the basis of race, religion, national origin, sex, gender, sexual orientation, age, disability, or veteran status.
