Description:

This course discussion will take a full life cycle approach on how some structural and product failures can result in injuries, broken equipment and damaged property. An emphasis will be placed on how injury mechanisms and product/structure failure modes play critical roles in determining cause and effect relationships between a failure incident and claimed injuries.

Failure Analysis & Biomechanical Experts will go over basic principles and case examples to illustrate how a failure happened, discuss the injuries claimed, and provide valuable insight that will educate the participant on how to assist in their claim or litigation.

Presented by

Bradley Probst
Mr. Probst is a Biomechanist specializing in the study of the forces and mechanics associated with human injury.  He applies this work to all segments of the human body involved in collisions and other impact-producing events.

Wade Lanning, Ph.D.
Dr. Lanning is a Senior Engineer at ARCCA specializing in the forensic analysis of mechanical failures and material degradation, such as fracture surface analysis, metal corrosion, polymer oxidation and degradation, weld and fastener failures and plumbing system material failures.
ARCCA specializes in figuring out what happened, or what could happen, over a wide range of situations and from the viewpoint of multiple technical disciplines. When clients have questions about a project, case, or claim and need an expert to analyze the facts and circumstances, ARCCA can help.
