Description:

Neck and back injuries are some of the most commonly seen in independent medical examinations. However, it can be difficult to discern when the diagnosis is a sprain or strain, which are soft tissue injuries, and when it is something more severe. To add to the diagnostic dilemma, the increased use of advanced imaging such as MRI often result in alarming reports such as significant nerve impingement. The objective of this presentation is to provide a better understanding of how to differentiate between soft tissue neck and back injuries and other, more significant, injuries which may require surgical intervention.

Presented by Chihua Lee, MD, Orthopedic Surgeon
