Join the WDTL Community Service Committee to Host a Birthday Party
for Homeless Children.
On April 4 at 6:30 p.m. WDTL is teaming up with
Birthday Dreams (
www.birthdaydreams.org) to provide a Birthday Party for homeless children at
Meadowbrook View in Lake City.
WDTL volunteers will host the party, provide the treats, and purchase the gifts. We expect 35 children to attend the party.
Here’s what we need:
10 people to volunteer the evening of the event. Plan to be at the event by 6:00 p.m. Most parties are 60 minutes. You will be finished by 8:00 p.m. This is a great event for youth. (Community Service Hour Credits will be given.) Please email event Chair Emily Albrecht at
ealbrecht@bpmlaw.com if you have questions.
6 people to bake and decorate cupcakes. If you would like to bake a cake, that’s ok, too! Cupcakes can either be delivered to Event Chair Emily Albrecht the day of the Party or brought to the Party. Please email event Chair Emily Albrecht at
ealbrecht@bpmlaw.com if you have questions.
30 people to donate gifts. Each birthday child should receive 3-4 brand new gifts in original, unopened packaging. Gifts should total between $25 and $35 per child, and include one bigger gift (doll, remote control car, action figures, Legos, etc.) and then a few smaller gifts (books, puzzles, games, matchbox cars, stuffed animal, etc.). When giving gifts that require batteries, please include the batteries. Gifts should be delivered or mailed to Event Chair Emily Albrecht, Betts Patterson & Mines, 701 Pike Street, Suite 1400, Seattle WA, 98101. Please email Event Chair Emily Albrecht at
ealbrecht@bpmlaw.com if you have questions.
