Presented by Hon. Richard F. McDermott (Ret.) and Ann Marshall, Esq.

Hon. Richard F. McDermott (Ret.)
joined JAMS after a distinguished career on the King County Superior Court Bench. In almost 18 years at the Court, Judge McDermott tried hundreds of cases in many diverse areas including personal injury, auto accidents, medical malpractice, wrongful death, construction defects, product liability, family law, estate disputes and property claims against governmental entities.

Ann T. Marshall, Esq., joined JAMS as a full-time mediator after more than 25 years as a trial lawyer. Ms. Marshall began her legal career in criminal defense. In her subsequent commercial litigation practice, spanning more than 20 years, she represented multiple Fortune 100 companies, working in conjunction with their inhouse legal teams, as well as individuals rarely if ever involved in litigation. She handled complex, multi-party cases through trial and appeal in state and federal courts. Ms. Marshall was the managing partner of her prior law firm’s Seattle office, responsible for litigated cases in the states of Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Alaska. She has deep experience in real estate, commercial finance and consumer lending.
