The Foundation for Washington State Courts is a charitable foundation established jointly by the Washington Defense Trial Lawyers (WDTL) and the Washington State Association for Justice (WSAJ) to provide support and grant funding for the courts from private sources. The Foundation is dedicated to improving access to and enhancing the quality of justice in our state.
Washington State Courts have been leaders nationwide in implementing innovative programs to reduce congestion and delay, improve access to the courts, and enhance the efficiency and quality of our court system. In recent years, however, budget reductions have placed many worthwhile court programs and projects at risk, including mandatory arbitration, drug court, family court mediation, adoption services, and secure visitation programs.
