Aqua et Veritas: Kidney Concepts for Lawyers
Through case studies, the basic concepts of kidney function will be explained.
Common scenarios will elucidate the application of Nephrology to legal issues and questions.

Dr. Thakur received a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Saskatchewan (U of S) in 1987 and his ND degree (U of S) in 1990. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency (U of S) in 1995 and Nephrology Fellowship (McGill) in 1997 before completing a Fellowship in Transplant Medicine at Oregon Health Sciences University (1998).
He is Board Certified Internal Medicine and Nephrology in the US and holds the same credentials in Canada as Fellow of the Royal College.
He was in solo private practice from 2000 to 2018 and now works full time doing locum tenens nephrology across the state and country.
He enjoys making complex nephrologic concepts understandable to his patients so that they can make good treatment choices for themselves. Dr. Thakur's interest in teaching was awarded by the Residency Training program at Providence Hospital, Seattle in 2000. He has extensive experience speaking to physician, nursing, legal, financial, and lay person audiences. He has been assisting both defense and plaintiff attorneys understand renal issues since 1995.
