Revisiting the Reasonableness of Medical Specials Charged by Hospitals
A plaintiff may “blackboard” the medical charges incurred as special damages at trial. The original amount charged by a hospital, however, rarely is the accepted amount for the services provided, begging the question: what is reasonable?
Join facilitator Natasha Khachatourians of Betts Patterson Mines, P.S., and guest facilitator City of Tacoma Deputy City Attorney Jean Homan, to discuss strategy and tactics in disputing the reasonableness of a hospital’s medical charges.
In preparation and anticipation of this event, we encourage our members to read Ms. Homan’s two-part article published in the WDTL Defense News Spring and Summer editions. https://www.wdtl.org/article_home.asp?edition=2
Please email any questions about this topic in advance to Natasha Khachatourians email@example.com
