Join facilitator Jade Park, Simmons Sweeney Freimund Smith Tardif PLLC, and co-facilitators Rory Cosgrove, Carney Badley Spellman, WDTL President and member of WDTL's Amicus Committee, and Pam DeVet, Kennedys Law LLP, presenter of WDTL's Case Law Update, as they review impactful cases from 2025 and discuss what's in store for 2026.
Pam DeVet is a highly accomplished trial and appellate attorney in the Seattle office with over two decades of extensive legal experience. With a focus on defending attorneys and their firms in professional liability and disciplinary matters, Pam has represented a vast array of legal professionals, amassing invaluable insights into legal malpractice claims. Pam is sought after for her adept defense of insurers in coverage determinations and bad faith litigation.
Rory Cosgrove’s passion is civil appeals in state and federal courts. He has been counsel of record in over 50 appeals. He has argued in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and in all three Divisions of the Court of Appeals of the State of Washington. He has filed amicus briefs in the Washington Supreme Court on behalf of national trade associations, insurance companies, and the Washington Defense Trial Lawyers.
