In the spirit of giving this season, WDTL continued their support of the Emergency Feeding Program.  

 

Each snack bag from EFP comes with a picture, cartoon, personal message and/or riddle. With a little imagination and lots of creativity, WDTL donated over 1,000 “designer” snack bags to the Emergency Feeding Program which will be provided to children in need throughout King County.  Thank you to the following WDTL members for their time and artistic talent:

Thank you to the WDTL members who made financial donations to EFP or the charity of their choice.  Finally, a huge shout out goes to the students at St. Louise School, Seattle Attorney General's Office, Sunrise Senior Living of Bellevue, and many, many friends of WDTL. The generosity and kindness from everyone who participated in WDTL's 2020 holiday drive is precisely what is needed this holiday season, as we face the many uncertainties surrounding COVID-19.  Happy holidays and looking ahead to 2021, which cannot get here fast enough!

The Emergency Feeding Program was founded in 1997 with the mission to ensure no one goes hungry and to provide high quality food.  The EFP collaborates with partner agencies to provide nutritional food to those in need.  The EFP provides over 600,000 meals throughout King County annually and distributes over 9,000 snack bags to school age children every month.  Since the outbreak of COVID-19, the number of families going hungry continues to increase.
