WDTL's Day on the Hill
This past February, during the 2024 Legislative Session, WDTL President Mike Rhodes, President-Elect Erin Seeberger, and Executive Director Maggie Sweeney joined WDTL’s Legislative Consultants Christine Brewer and Kris Teft in Olympia for a day on the hill.
The goal for the day was to introduce lawmakers to WDTL leadership and provide some insight into WDTL’s legislative goals. Christine and Kris organized a very ambitious agenda. Our day was packed with back-to-back meetings with Senators Mark Mullet, Jesse Salomon, Mike Padden, Derek Stanford, Manka Dhingra, and Representatives Peter Abbarno, Drew Stokesbury, and Jamila Taylor. We sat in on a few session meetings and pressed the flesh in the capitol halls. All in all, the day was a resounding success.
