The case was brought by a plaintiff who suffered facial disfigurement, including the loss of a nostril, following a complication arising from a cosmetic dermal filler procedure. Claiming $12 million in damages, the plaintiff contended that she had not been adequately informed about the potential risks associated with the procedure and that inadequate post-procedure precautions were taken.
