As a Sr Litigation Auditor you will direct, manage, or conduct the review/audit of invoices from Liberty Mutual Group outside law firms for compliance with the Liberty Mutual Group guidelines and for reasonable and appropriate billing practices consistent with industry standards as established by the ABA. Determines the level and degree of auditing and review activity necessary for Liberty Mutual Group defense firms to meet compliance objectives. Manages, directs, and oversees the examination of law firm's legal files, accounting, financial/billing records, etc., to ensure compliance with Liberty Mutual Group guidelines. Manages and maintains a database, which reports audit compliance results. Directs and assists in the development and enhancement of invoice and audit review procedures, policies, and the training of personnel. Will need to handle a number of significant projects. We are looking for a paralegal with a paralegal certificate and experience in personal injury/insurance defense litigation to join Allstate and Encompass Staff Counsel in Seattle. This is a fast paced, high volume, environment, with litigation throughout Washington. The paralegal would work with two attorneys with active trial caseloads, and would engage in discovery preparation, document retrieval, and retaining and scheduling experts for trial.
